10 Ways Warner Bros. Should've Made The DCEU
2. Take Things Slowly
Despite there being a great many DC fans out there who've praised WB's decision to launch straight into Justice League just four films into their universe, the reality remains that it wasn't the best course of action.
Comparisons to the MCU were always going to be inevitable, and while there's cause to argue that WB needed to catch up ASAP - simply because no one knows when the cinematic universe bubble is going to burst - it would've been smarter for them carefully plan just how, exactly, things were going to progress. It doesn't matter if it would take an extra year or two for it to happen, or even if those MCU comparisons were thrown their way, because at the end of the day, things would feel more organic, more compelling, and probably a whole lot less convoluted too.
Batman v Superman exemplifies Warner's failure better than any other film does. It's littered with forced cameos, aimless references and nods to a history that, to the general audience, just doesn't exist. Fans haven't been given a reason to invest in anything because, by making Batman an older bloke, their window into the character's most compelling years has been shut.
A DCEU without the exposition, contrivances and convolution of the one we now currently have would've been so much better to sit through and experience, even if it would've taken a little longer.
