7. The Endless Slew Of Forgettable Villains

Admit it: even Ultron was a disappointment. It's kind of crazy that think that, all said and done (and after 11 movies), the MCU still only clings to one respectable villain: Loki. And even that he has been poised as something of an anti-hero anyway, given his tendency to change sides on a whim: one could certainly argue, as a result, that there are no intriguing or memorable villains in the series at all - something that doesn't look like it's going to change at any point soon, either, given the slate of upcoming flicks. So there have been no real discernible character traits separating any of the major villains; even those that promised to be "different" (like Ultron) proved to be relatively tame - or, at least, more comical than the marketing originally led audiences to believe. Marvel really need to get a hold over this aspect of the MCU; establishing great villains is more important than factoring in an excess of heroes, because boring villains translate to boring films.
