10 Weirdest Cameos In James Bond Movies

Martin Campbell is a New Zealand film and Television director who has quite a few very popular films to his name such as The Mask Of Zorro, Edge Of Darkness and 2011’s Green Lantern movie. He is best known for his work in the Bond franchise as director of 1995’s Goldeneye and 2006’s Casino Royale. For Goldeneye, however, Martin Campbell pulled a Hitchcock as he decided to make his own personal cameo at the beginning of the film.

Early on in the movie, James Bond decides to have a mountainside race with the vampy villainess Xenia Onatopp in his iconic Aston Martin DB5. Along the way, the pair narrowly avoid a group of mountain cyclists, who then topple over like dominoes because Bond films aren’t Bond films without a bit of humour.

One of the bicyclists, however, is actually Martin Campbell. More specifically the cyclist in front sporting a blue top with the word ‘FESTINA’ written all over it in gold writing. He’s also the one who falls over first causing the entire group to fall one by one.

To my knowledge though, Martin Campbell didn’t make a cameo in Casino Royale. Either that, or we just haven’t found his cameo yet…
