10 Weirdly Distracting Moments In Recent Movies
7. The Horrific CGI - The Flash
There were a lot of eyes on The Flash when it released not too long after James Gunn was announced as the new head of the DCU in 2022. It played on the multiverse theory, as so many other comic book properies have done recently, and it featured the return of Michael Keaton's iteration of Batman.
It's amazing just how disappointing both of these aspects of the film were, and even more so considering that they weren't even the worst part. This honour goes to the horrifically produced CGI-fest that looked at previous iterations of the likes of Superman, Supergirl, and The Flash.
Not only were likenesses used of actors who have sadly passed, there was an embarrassingly bad computer-generated Nicholas Cage as Clark Kent. The CGI may have been under-par throughout the entire film, but it was here that, even if audiences had managed to suspend their disbelief up until this point, things were brought crashing back to reality.
Honestly, there were so many distracting moments through The Flash, including Barry's (Ezra Miller) tooth falling out in the final scene in the least convincing way possible, but the fan service fest that missed the mark takes the cake. The fact that director Andy Muschietti has been signed on to direct the new DCU's first Batman iteration, The Brave and the Bold, is genuinely worrying for the Dark Knight.
