10 Wild Avengers: Age Of Ultron Rumours Which Ended Up Being Bullsh*t

10. J.A.R.V.I.S. = Ultron

Back in 2013, all fans knew about The Avengers was that Ultron would be the sequel's main villain. A teaser shown at Comic-Con featured Iron Man's helmet being smashed into the shape of Ultron's head, making it clear that Marvel would be veering from the comics by having Tony Stark be the one responsible for creating the robotic villain, and not Hank Pym. Unsurprisingly, it didn't take fans long to start speculating over the possibility that one of Tony's past creations would end up developing into Ultron (even the "Dunce" robot from Iron Man 3 was at one point suggested). However, one report claimed that J.A.R.V.I.S. was destined to turn to the dark side, becoming the villainous Ultron in the process. They pointed to scrapped storyboards from The Avengers featuring Loki controlling J.A.R.V.I.S. as proving that Joss Whedon had at least considered turning the helpful A.I. evil, and went so far as to claim that Paul Bettany would play Ultron. Could it be that their source confused Ultron with The Vision? Probably not, as it ultimately reads like bad fan-fiction!
