2. Yellowjacket Becomes MODOK - Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania
It's been rumoured for a long time that the iconic, misshapen Marvel villain MODOK will appear in the third Ant-Man movie, and during Marvel Studios' recent showing at San Diego Comic-Con, they indeed confirmed that the character will have a role in the film.
They didn't elaborate further, but numerous MCU insiders have claimed that MODOK will actually end up being Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll) - the villain from the original Ant-Man.
Stoll's involvement was hinted at last year, and rumours indicate that Yellowjacket became MODOK after Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) tampered with his suit and caused him to uncontrollably shrink at the end of the first film.
Rather than die as presumed, he was left disfigured by the shrinking and somehow transformed into the mutated human-cyborg super-genius known as MODOK.
While far from a comics-accurate origin story for the beloved villain, that's certainly a creative way to introduce him to the MCU while resolving Cross' ambiguous fate.
