4. Jim Carrey As The Riddler in Batman Forever

Remember what I said about Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face? You know that part about how he could have been a great actor for the role? I cant say that about
Jim Carrey. There is no world post the 1960's where Ace Ventura is a successful Riddler. The closest Jim Carrey should have come to The Riddler is his furry and misshapen green body-suit when he played The Grinch. I can take Mark Hamills voice performance as The Joker on Batmans many cartoon adventures more seriously than Carreys live-action performance as The Riddler. In fact, why didnt Joel Schumacher just put a CG actor in Carreys place, and use Mark Hamills nutsy Joker voice for The Riddler? It would have been an improvement on Jim Carreys slapstick, moronic performance of a deranged sociopath obsessed with stealing brainwaves and destroying Batman. It is truly sad when the console game: Lego Batman does a better job with a character than a film (with spoken dialog) does. The Riddler is far too complicated a character for Jim Carrey to tackle, and I am sad that we have yet to see a better take on this interesting villain. Who They Should Have Cast: Someone who can act

Greetings all! If you are reading this, you probably want to know a thing or two about me. I am indeed a 28 year old dude from Oregon, I'm happily married, and I am a creative professional that does graphic design and photography to try (keyword is try) to make money in this crazy world we live in. I'm totally insane about film and the arts, and I have some pretty strong political/religious/social opinions as well. I draw quite a bit of inspiration from film, and often use it as a lens for viewing the world. On this site, you’ll catch me writing about a variety of, well, stuff, and you can agree, disagree, or be indifferent, but any way you look at it, I love a good argument (I forgot to mention that I studied philosophy for two years, so argumentation, as long as it is good, gets me all excited). Happy blogging to all!
