Had the movie been given to French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, who made Inside (2007), the film wouldve been a dark version of The Goonies. Instead, Platinum Dunes went the tried-and-tested route and even though the film made $115 million worldwide, weve still to see a sequel.
