10 Worst Movies Of 2014 (So Far)

3. The Legend Of Hercules

It's a good thing that The Legend of Hercules failed to make back its budget at the box office; had it been a success, the human race would have had a lot to answer for. Renny Harlin, best known for a string of bad to mildly good action films in the '90s such as Die Hard 2 and The Long Kiss Goodnight, helms this pointless excuse of a motion picture - one which seems to have been set upon by everyone involved as an excuse to get paid and nothing else. The script, credited to not one but four writers, is so bad that it actually hurts to hear the dialogue. To say that this retelling of the Hercules legend offers absolutely nothing of worth is an insult to the understatement; it's almost as if a teenager with only a passing interest in Greek mythology and little filmmaking experience was given $70 million dollars and told to do their best to make a film. The movie's worst crime, perhaps, is that is seems incapable of forging an interesting action sequence... and isn't that the reason why those poor suckers who went out to see this did so in the first place? Total bargain bin fare, for sure. Horrible.
