10 Worst Movies Of 2019 (So Far)

3. The Haunting Of Sharon Tate

While Quentin Tarantino is set to unveil his own take on the Manson Family murders in the second half of 2019, he's not the first person to use Sharon Tate's story for the silver screen. Hopefully, his results will be better than those achieved by Daniel Farrands, who previously made some excellent horror movie documentaries (like Crystal Lake Memories) and one godawful Amityville movie.

Here, the director proves how good a documentary film-maker he is by turning Tate's murder into a paint-by-numbers home invasion movie (starring Hilary Duff - how the mighty have stumbled) that is frankly appalling in absolutely every sense. And even worse, it's horribly disrespectful and exploitative, as if the product of a gag pitch gone too far.

Luckily for everyone, Farrand is next making a movie about the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson with Mena Suvari, so that should be... erm... nice?
