10 Worst Sequels Of 2014

1. Horrible Bosses 2

You can usually smell a truly awful sequel from a mile off, and the stench following the likes of Horrible Bosses 2 was truly putrid. The first flick worked wonders at the box office, despite the fact that it wasn't actually any good, whilst the sequel doesn't even make sense in its premise: whereas the highly unlikeable protagonists played by Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day conspired to kill their bosses in the first chapter, here they're just kidnapping. Downgrade much? The "jokes" inherent to Horrible Bosses 2 aren't really jokes. Most of the scenes in this movie - which has our heroes kidnapping a rich investor's son in a bid to for revenge - go on and on, driving every gag into the ground to the point where you feel like you're watching the actors in a half-assed rehearsal. Christoph Waltz is the bad guy here, but he looks positively bored, whilst Jennifer Aniston reprises her role from the first; she deserves a whole lot better than this nasty, mean-spirited sequel.
