10 Worst Sequels Of 2014

2. Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Oh, there were those hopeful few who thought that - coming off of the back of all the negativity associated with the previous Transformers movies - Michael Bay would attempt to remedy some of the faults inherent to what has to be the loudest, most explosive blockbuster franchise of all time. Nope. Transformers: Age Of Extinction, which swaps out Shia LaBeouf and replaces him with Mark Wahlberg, might just be the worst movie in the series thus far. And that's really saying something. As you'd expect from the fourth movie in a franchise based on a toy, the plot is dumb and makes little to no sense (if you can follow it at all). The way the action unfolds, it almost seems as though Michael Bay made a bet with Paramount that he could render his most irritating directorial traits at their most extensive. So there are endless explosions, incomprehensible battles, jokes apparently written by teenage boys, and countless shots of the teenage protagonist's rear end. You'll lose the will to live.
