10 Worst Times Movie Actors Were Combined With CGI

4. Jeffrey Jones - Howard The Duck

Lucasfilm's Howard The Duck may have gained a cult following in the decades since its 1986 release, but that's not because the movie is good: this is one of those "so-bad-it's-kinda-entertaining" flicks, mainly because everything about it reeks of low-budget B-movie cheese.

Fittingly then, its special effects are really quite poor, and even though this is part of the charm, bad CGI is bad CGI, which leads us to the inclusion of Walter Jenning - played by Jeffrey Jones - on this list.

Midway through the film, the ordinary Walter is possessed by an alien life form, granting him various magical powers. He can move objects with the power of his mind, shoot energy blasts, and cause fires with a simple stare, and while all of that sounds cool, the CGI used on Walter himself looks like it cost about five quid.

The worst offenders are his eyeballs, which explode in a ball of flame whenever he uses his ability to start fires. Literally all the filmmakers have done is add a quick chroma-key explosion over the top of Jones' eyes, which would have taken them roughly two minutes to pull off. And you can tell.
