10 WTF Creepy Stories About Famous Actors

4. Sean Connery Admitted That He Thinks It's Okay To Hit A Woman

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo0d1zTAFKA As actors go, few have legacies as big as the man who played James Bond and Henry Jones Sr. Which makes it all the more disturbing when you learn that Connery has admitted that he thinks it's okay to hit woman on a number occasions. And not ironically, or in jest (not that that's okay either, really), but seriously. During an interview with Barbara Walters in the '90s, Connery was reproached by the talk show host regarding his beliefs on this particular matter. Walters initiated the conversation by recalling something Connery had said the past - that it's better to hit a woman with an "open hand rather than a clenched fist." Connery laughs at this, which is a creepy response in of itself, before stating: "I haven't change my opinion." And he means it. What is Connery's criteria for hitting a woman, then? Well, according to him, should a woman refuse to end a conversation or argument after everything else has been attempted in order to silence them, it's okay to whack them. And his conviction on the matter is super creepy. Clearly playing such a misogynistic character for so long went to his head.
