7 - Robocop
Is Robocop my favourite film of all time? I'm not sure but it's really high on the list! I was far too young to watch even the heavily censored TV version when I first watched this ultra violent epic. Did it scar me? Yes it did. I wear those scars with pride. The death of Alex Murphy is one of the cruellest and most brutal scenes in film history. The first patrol of Robocop is one of the finest tributes to the western genre there is. All in all, Robocop is a smart, horrific, entertaining and action packed roller coaster ride and once you are in its grasp, it wont let you go until the name "Murphy" has you choking back tears of bromantic glory.
Best bit: Robocop enters a drug factory, walks nonchalantly around the room targeting bad guys and then shoots them all, some without even looking. The power of technology.
