11 Actors Who (Hopefully) Killed Their Careers In 2014

2. Dominic Purcell

Admittedly, the former Prison Break star has been struggling for a while: the last time any of his movies saw a fully-fledged, wide theatrical cinema release was 2011's Straw Dogs. Ever since, he's been stuck in straight-to-DVD Purgatory, often working with the modern-day Ed Wood himself, Uwe Boll. 2014 has so far seen him work with Boll on In the Name of the King 3: The Last Job, while other offerings include The Ganzfeld Haunting, The Bag Man (which despite co-starring Robert De Niro and John Cusack, scored 10% and took just $62,409), A Fighting Man and Turkey Shoot, movies so low-key that, except for The Bag Man, none of them even have enough reviews available to form a critical consensus. Unless you're Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Ray Liotta or Ben Kingsley, this is the curse of working with Uwe Boll: once he has you, there's practically no chance of escape back to Hollywood.
