11 Actors Who (Hopefully) Killed Their Careers In 2014

9. Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl's presence on cinema screens has been oddly (and thankfully) muted over the last three years: she released just one movie per year in 2011 (New Year's Eve), 2012 (the hilariously-titled One for the Money) and 2013 (The Big Wedding). Instead, the actress has mostly been busying herself with thriller TV show State of Affairs, though she did have time to star in two films in 2014, providing a voice in animated flick The Nut Job (10%), which made $113.3 million on a modest $42.8 million budget, and Jackie & Ryan, a musical drama screened at the Venice Film Festival to mixed reviews (not that many critics even bothered to see it), enough so that 4 months later there's still no sign of a release date. As for two other 2014 movies she's completed, comedies Jenny's Wedding and Home Sweet Hell, neither have release dates yet, suggesting a likely VOD bow in the future, hopefully signalling the home for most of her future movies. If Heigl didn't prove so frequently grating on screen and have such a poor industry reputation for her bad attitude, then perhaps there might be some sympathy here...
