8. Salma Hayek Is... Hela
The incredibly gorgeous Salma Hayek is known for a wide range of roles, from Frida to Dogma. She can be as sweet as the girl next door (as in Fled) or beautiful and terrifying (as in From Dusk Till Dawn), making her the perfect actress to portray Hela. The Daughter of Loki and ruler of Hel and Niffleheim, Odin appointed her the Goddess of Death. In many instances, she's aided in attacks on the Asgardians (Hela has her father's penchant for trouble) in order to fill Hel with the souls of the fallen, thus increasing her ever growing power. She is beautiful, cunning, and incredibly frightening. Salma Hayek's accent, style, and sex appeal would add menace and intrigue to the role. I could definitely see her in the third Thor film making an unholy alliance with one or more of Asgard's many enemies. If Jane Foster is killed in The Dark World, one way to torture Thor would be to banish her to Hel, where Hela would bargain for her release in exchange for his soul.
