There’s a lot of unsettling things happening all through Get Out; the basement, the shoebox of pictures, the lacrosse-stick wielding brother, Rose eating Froot Loops one at a time, and literally everything about The Sunken Place.

But the most haunting moments in the movie come from stand-out performances of Gabriel, Stanfield, and Henderson. Every time they’re on screen you just have this stunning, disquietening feeling. And then Betty Gabriel actually says that and you’re like “Yes, that is how I feel.”

And even though we don’t have three actors to compare their performances to, we’ve probably all met enough creepy old white people to know that they nailed it.
