11 Awesome Movie Characters Stupidly Killed Off In Sequels

10. Abraham Whistler - Blade: Trinity

blade5How He Died: In the first Blade film, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) commits suicide after becoming infected with vampirism. However, we find out in Blade II that this didn't happen, and Blade manages to rescue and cure him. In Blade: Trinity, however, the FBI raid his and Blade's new compound, so he self-destructs the facility, killing himself in the process. Why It Sucks: What on Earth is the point in bringing a character back from the brink of death, only to kill him again? It's freaking stupid. We were already crestfallen once when Whistler was taken out, and then elated when he returned in Blade II, and then p*ssed off again when he bit the bullet in Trinity. In a film full of terrible creative decisions, this has to be one of the worst. It plays as though written by someone who hasn't even watched the first two films.
