10. Dr. King Schultz - Django Unchained
Who Is He?: A dentist-turned-bounty-hunter who frees Django at the start of the movie, and helps him on his crusade to rescue his wife.
How Does He Die?: After shooting Calvin Candie dead at point blank range, he utters the phrase, "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist", and is then blown away by one of Candie's henchmen.
Why He Should Have Lived: He's such a totally likable character, both thoroughly badass and intelligent. His banter with Django throughout the film was hugely enjoyable to watch, and it's a shame to see the friendship they forged disappear so quickly in a hail of bullets.
