11 Changes The MCU Wishes It Could Make

7. Close The Movie-TV Divide

When Marvel debuted Agents of SHIELD in 2013, the early signs were positive. It was set in the MCU, Agent Coulson was on board and Joss Whedon was helming the first episode.

Although the series has had more ups than downs over the years, the divide between Marvel's TV shows and its shared cinematic universe has only widened, and that's a huge problem considering some of its best characters are tied up on the small screen.

Nothing that happens in the Netflix shows has any impact on the MCU and the chances of The Defenders ever crossing paths with The Avengers appears to be growing slimmer all the time.

This is shame because the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher would be great assets to the MCU. With lengthy seasons under their belts, Marvel has taken the time to flesh out these characters on TV, and as a result, they've become some of the comic book giant's greatest assets.

From the start, Marvel should have maintained close ties between its TV and movie universes and set out a more flexible stall which enables it to freely share characters across them, without messy red tape and insurmountable roadblocks preventing crossovers from ever happening.
