11 Characters Absent In Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame Who Were Missed

Now, admittedly, this is a bit of a cheat, as Vision was in Infinity War. And as we all know, his heartbreaking death at Wanda's hands was made even worse when Thanos rewound time just to kill him all over again, leaving nothing but his crumpled, lifeless body behind.

So why is he on this list, then? Well, it was posited in Infinity War that maybe, just maybe, Shuri's efforts to unbind him from the Infinity Stone may have left enough of Vision behind. There was the possibility that whatever she was able to untangle could've been used to bring him back or - at the least - create a new version of him with something she could've backed up and stored away in Wakanda when she was forced to stop the process.

Instead, Wanda only mentions him indirectly near the end of Endgame, leaving us to assume that he's gone for good and that his appearance in the upcoming WandaVision show on Disney+ might just be as - ahem - a vision conjured up by Wanda and not the real deal. Whatever the case, both Vision and Paul Bettany were sorely missed from Endgame, and though his demise was perfectly poignant, it would've been nice to see what happened to his body afterwards and the possible conversation around whether the android could be brought back one way or another.
