11 Horror Sequels That Were Actually Better Than The Original

10. ABCs Of Death 2

The Purge Election Year

The ABCs of Death, an anthology film with 26 death-related shorts made by different people, was too inconsistent to work, although it's not without its moments.

The first film wasn't especially well-received and this was fair enough to be frank, but to the pleasant surprise of everyone, this second anthology (with the same format) was a massive upgrade on the original.

Inevitably, it is still uneven as hell, but the lows of this one aren't as bad as those of the original and better still, the best shorts surpass those of the first film. There are dreadful shorts like E is for Equilibrium, F is for Falling, G is for Grandad, I is for Invincible, L is for Legacy and worst of all, P is for P-P-P-P Scary, but ultimately these are easy to overlook.

After all, this anthology does also contain the awesomeness of D is for Deloused, K is for Knell, R is for Roulette, S is for Split, V is for Vacation, Y is for Youth and Z is for Zygote.

Overall, this anthology succeeded where the original failed because the films were far better selected and of far higher quality.
