11 Huge Issues That Might Ruin The DC Cinematic Universe

1. The Jumbled "Multiverse" Continuity

Though Warner have yet to actually give the DCCU an official name, some have opted to calling it the "DC Cinematic Multiverse", due to the fact that a number of characters are being interpeted by multiple actors in multiple stories in multiple media. For example, though The Flash will be played by Ezra Miller in his own 2018 movie, Grant Gustin currently plays a different take of the character on the CW's TV version. While this might seem normal to comic book fans accustomed to the idea of multiple overlapping comic book arcs without a clear canon plot, it's no doubt going to confuse and irritate more casual viewers, who will likely be craving a clearer character through-line and sense of continuity. If The Flash and Gotham contradict Justice League and Suicide Squad, for instance, some will clearly be up in arms about it. The mutliverse idea isn't an easy one to sell to outside viewers, and while it's best to take a wait-and-see approach with audiences, hopefully this is just a trend they'll eventually catch on to, or appreciate the separate storytelling enough not to really care.
