5. Superman Vs. Thor

Thor may give it his all against the Kryptonian, but there's no way to beat an alien who is all but invincible. The outcome may have been inevitable from the get-go, but the film does a terrific job of making the Marvel and DC superhero face-off one that seems close. Superman's actor and his costume is spot on for the role, as is Thor's, and while Superman has the backing of Earth's sun to give him unlimited power, Thor has his hammer and lightning to essentially do the same. The special effects here may not be on the level of a Hollywood blockbuster, but hey, it's all in the name of fun, and even with a small budget you can still make a convincing super power fight to the death. The extreme long shots of the two hero's tussle as they flit across mountains and form new craters with their bodies are great fun to watch.
