If the IMDB cast listing for Age Of Ultron is anything to go by - and frankly it's usually not - Heimdall is definitely going to play some part of the film. But that would be easily dismissible - given that site's notorious hair-trigger on casting rumours - were it not for the fact that Idris Elba actually confirmed that he's shot at least one scene in an interview with the Telegraph. Why He'll Appear Rumour has it, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) will use her powers to implant visions into the Avengers' minds, becoming Ultron's most potent weapon as he builds up his powers through upgrades. When the voice-over for the trailer promised to break the team down from the inside, this would appear to be the weapon of choice. So there's either the possibility that Heimdall will appear as part of Thor's vision (a theory made all the more compelling by the other characters he's said to be shooting with), or that his appearance comes at the end of the film with Thor slain (in Valhalla) and a plan afoot to "rescue" him. The second theory is compounded somewhat by the presence of a number of other Asgardian extras on the cast list without any of the more familiar warrior figures confirmed, but confused by the fact that Elba was filming with Chris Hemsworth himself.
