An Entertainment Weekly feature this week confirmed that Black Panther's father, T’Chaka, is dead in Captain America: Civil War, and Panther blames Bucky Barnes for it, hence his clearly dogged determination to bring The Winter Soldier to justice.

This begs one question, though: did T'Chaka's death take place sometime prior, or does it happen during the movie? There is, of course, that UN building explosion spotted in the trailer, and many believe that the above shot of T'Challa may actually have him cradling his father's corpse in the final movie. We'll have to wait and see.

Either way, it's now confirmed that Panther isn't just after Bucky as a keeper of the peace, but because he has incredibly personal stakes in the mission.
