It's hard to limit this entry to a single movie, because the truth is, it's become such a common sci-fi trope that the vast majority of the world has accepted it as fact.

"Humankind only uses 10% of our brains." Well, maybe whoever came up with that did, but the rest of us use much more than that.

In fact, the average human uses every part of their brain on a daily basis, although not all at once.

The simplest way to look at it is that different parts of the brain are all used for different things, and while you might not use all of them at once, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing everything more efficiently. For example, you might use every part of your brain to walk, sip coffee and text all at once, but would you use your every part of your body to do each of those things individually?

The "science" behind this one is flawed on multiple levels, because not even the concept really works when you think about it. So why on earth do movies insist on continuing to use this as a plot device?
