In Unfriended: Dark Web, Matias steals a laptop from a cyber cafe and claims it as his own. Matias notices the Facebook is still connected to the account of the previous owner, Charon IV. After receiving disturbing messages from Charon's employers, Matias checks the hard drive's content, where he discovers the owner is a - get this - Dark Web assassin.
Worst still, the killer can see everything Matias does through his camera, and threatens to murder his friends and girlfriend, Amaya, if he doesn't return the laptop. Because Charon has been compromised, Matias is certain the hitman will slaughter everyone, no matter what.
