The absolute focal point of everybody's attention when this movie is released will be the much-maligned Ben Affleck in the role of Batman. When "Batfleck" was announced, fans around the world went crazy - and not in a good way. Petitions were created to have Ben Affleck removed from the project. Strangely, nobody had a problem with the idea of Affleck portraying Bruce Wayne, but nobody could see him playing Batman. It may have something to do with his awful portrayal of Daredevil all those years ago but, whatever the reason, he isn't going to be able to put a foot wrong in this movie, or critics and armchair critics alike will have an absolute field day. Affleck has matured a hell of a lot as an actor since the Daredevil days and images of him in costume as the Dark Knight have allayed fears somewhat, but there's not an inch of space for complacency.
