6. You Should Never Eat Mandatory Snacks Per Film

One of the oddest cultural off-shoots of the cinematic age is that everyone has sort of unconsciously accepted that watching a film must inevitably be accompanied by the sensation of stuffing either the most sweet or most salty snacks into your mouth. The two things are entirely arbitrary, but thanks to cinemas making zero movie on actually screening a film the marketing monster has made something profitable into something habitual, the clever devils, so everyone in the cinema foyer is a snack zombie. Unfortunately, watching a significant number of films a year means you will crave the same level of gorging: it's nostalgic and familiar and eating popcorn and sweets is just like having a cuddle in front of Jurassic Park. But if you're watching more than one film a day, with days when the binging is beyond acceptable levels for "normal" people as your partner keeps telling you, you'll soon find yourself confronted with the warm familiar sensation of diabetes and suspiciously shrunken clothes, without the knowledge of how you really got there.
