11 Things You Learn Rewatching A View To A Kill

1. It's A Depressing End To Roger Moore's Tenure

All things considered, A View to a Kill is a pretty miserable end for Roger Moore's time as Bond. The culmination of seven movies and twelve years of playing 007, it was at least one film too many for the venerable gent, and not exactly the dignified capper fans were hoping for.

From the low-effort screenplay to Moore's inexplicably aged appearance and the generally thinly-written female characters, it's a movie rife with bad choices, even if many Moore hardcores still swear by it.

It's not without its entertainment value, clearly, but it's not sexy, suave or sophisticated as Bond should be: it's more of a damp squib than it is persuasively entertaining.
