9. The Beach Boys Snowboarding Gag Is Just Awful

Moore's final Bond movie goes all-in on its campiness right from the jump, with the pre-title sequence featuring one toe-curlingly cringe-worthy gag as Bond flees his pursuers on a snowboard.

As Bond gets out the snowboard and takes off, the music jarringly switches from John Barry's typically brassy tones to a cover of The Beach Boys' hit tune "California Girls."

It takes a potentially fun, snow-topped chase and immediately turns it into a joke, perfectly representing the tonally awkward tendencies of the Moore-era movies.

The scene is often credited with helping popularise snowboarding in the mid-80s, but at what cost? The whole cringe-worthy shebang only lasts around 40 seconds, but it sure feels many times longer.
