3. Dream House Trailer Revealed Daniel Craig's Character Is The "Bad" Guy

The Secret: That family man Will Atenton (Daniel Craig) is actually called Peter Ward, and has just been released from a psychiatric hospital for apparently murdering his wife (Rachel Weisz) and two children, who as a result just appear to Peter as mental projections. How It Was Spoiled:Half-way through the trailer, the twist is spoiled, pretty much ensuring that there's no need to actually go see the movie, as any intrigue is drained out of it from that point on. Though the reveal occurs mid-way through the movie rather than at the end, it still shows zero tact to give something so vital away when it could have been a surprise. Yes, there are more revelations to follow in the movie (namely that Ward was framed for his family's murder), but the biggest one was given away for free, perhaps as a sign of desperation on Universal's part, as they knew that the movie was a dud anyway.
