12 Actors Who Have Basically Just Become Cartoon Characters

4. William Shatner

William Shatner is still best known as Captain James T. Kirk (despite his part in Boston Legal a few years ago), and he knows it. Although initially resistant to the typecasting, he's since embraced it and his trademark overemotional delivery, so that you know that he'll take the most ordinary line and insert dramatic pauses into it at random intervals. Once you notice it, you won't be able to watch an episode of Star Trek without picking up on it. He's also known for his ego, and although he mended friendships with the original Star Trek cast some time ago, Shatner plays up to his reputation more often than not. Perhaps the best examples are his legendary spoken-word performances for which he's routinely mocked, such as this notorious 1978 interpretation of Elton John's Rocket Man. It was repeated on Family Guy years later by Stewie in one of the show's great gags. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lul-Y8vSr0I
