12 Actors You Didn't Know Almost Played Superheroes

It turns out that Ashton Kutcher, formerly of Punk'd and trucker hat wearing fame, auditioned to play the Man of Steel and actually donned the suit while doing so. He auditioned alongside Keri Russell, who was reading for Lois Lane, in both Clark Kent clothing and in the Superman suit for a screen test. However, things took a turn once the suit was donned. As Kutcher detailed to MTV News:

It did not feel right. I hadn't worked out or done anything right... I was like a rail with fake muscles. It looked funny.

He then went on to propose that rather than Superman, he might be more fit to play a different kind of superhero: He-Man. In Hollywood, one knows never to say never, so perhaps a Kutcher-helmed Masters of the Universe reboot could be on the horizon.
