With Emily Blunt's film resumé consisting of some badass roles, such as the one exhibited in Sicario, it's no wonder she's been tapped for the Marvel Universe in the past. She was originally offered the part of super spy and Avenger, Black Widow, but was unable to commit to the role due to a scheduling conflict. Once that role had been passed on, she was later offered the part of Peggy Carter in Captain America, but again had to refuse the role. As she said to The Independent:

It’s always a difficult thing to talk about, because it’s not fair to the actresses who ended up playing them, you know? It just wasn’t the right time.
