A twisted sense of humour, endlessly quotable dialogue and brilliant musical numbers come together to make the perfect amalgamation of all the best things South Park has to offer. Released during season three of the acclaimed cartoon, Matt and Trey proved that the hilarious antics of four foul-mouthed children were perfectly suited to the silver screen. The movie elevated the insanity of Colorados weirdest mountain town to dizzying levels. With Satan and his gay lover Saddam Hussein poised to take over the world, only a volatile group of elementary school kids have the means to stop them. As synopses go, its damn near unbeatable. Songs such as the fiery call to arms, Blame Canada and Satans emotional ballad Up There are not only hilarious; they also showcase the creators ability to write catchy, well-crafted music. Once youve seen the South Park Movie, its clear to see how, given time to develop and mature their comedy (to some extent) they went on to huge success with The Book of Mormon. With the show still going strong and fans understandably clamouring for a second feature-length adventure (seriously guys its been 17 years), hopefully well be able to relive the magic of Bigger, Longer And Uncut in the not so distant future. What are your favourite animated movies? Are there any you think should have been on the list? Let us know what you think in the comments.
