1. The Environment Gets Ruined...Again

Following the five-year time jump, Cap makes a reference to Black Widow that the environment has benefited enormously from the Earth's population being halved, with the lesser resources allowing the world to at least recover partially from what humanity has been doing to it. Removing half the world's politicians probably didn't hurt, either.

But with the dusted all returning five years later, it's safe to say that consumption would return to normal levels incredibly quickly, once again hastening climate change, keeping the skies foggy and leaving behind an ugly legacy for future generations.

Or maybe, just maybe, seeing how environmental devastation has decreased dramatically during that five-year period, people, politicians and industries would rethink their attitudes to waste and consumption. Optimistic, or naive? You decide.
