12 Awkward Moments That Must Have Happened After Avengers: Endgame
10. People Have Moved On From Their Loved Ones - AKA Cast Away Syndrome
One major unexplored consequence of the snap is how it would result in what we're going to call "Cast Away Syndrome" worldwide, with resurrected people returning home to find that their spouse or partner has grieved, moved on and shacked up with somebody else.
What if you were snapped in the middle of the night, and upon returning to the land of the living, found another person sleeping next to your (former) partner?
Hell, what if they moved out of the family home following your death and it's now occupied by a new tenant who isn't too happy about you re-materialising there?
That's not to forget the massive unemployment issue, what with all the snapped having been posthumously relieved of their jobs and replaced.
And what about life insurance policies? Would the snap have triggered payouts, or would companies be able to use the "Act of God" get-out clause? And if the payouts were triggered, what happened when people returned?
It's highly unlikely we'll ever see this side of the snap's aftermath explored in the MCU, but it sure is fascinating - and toe-curlingly embarrassing - to consider.
