12 Badass Action Movies You Need To See Before You Die

2. Enter The Dragon (1973)

Not only is Enter The Dragon the best showcase for Bruce Lee€™s fighting skills, there€™s also a good supporting cast that includes Jim Kelly, John Saxon, Shih Kien and Angela Mao. The movie made director Robert Clouse the go-to guy for low-budget kung-fu epics, and he promptly churned out the likes of Black Belt Jones, Game Of Death, China O€™Brien and the immortal Gymkata. Needless to say, ETD is the pick of the bunch, a near-perfect blend of martial arts and James Bond-style espionage that set the standard for years to come. For an all-female take on the same material, watch DOA: Dead Or Alive starring Holly Valance and Jaime Pressly (or rather don€™t €“ it€™s an affront to all that is good in the world). The movie passed into legend when its star died (aged 32) a month before the US premiere, and try to imagine what that audience must've felt when they saw Bruce at his most charismatic, felling his opponents in some of the best action sequences of his career.
