12 Most Badass Monologues In Movie History

12. Conal Cochran: Halloween III: Season Of The Witch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIFOPB31NSI The imagery conjured by this monologue is wonderfully dark and twisted; setting the scene for the terrible events that conclude this often-maligned horror film and sending a chill down the viewer's spine. You certainly won't think of Halloween in the same way again. What makes it great? Well it's the booming voice of Dan O'Herlihy's Conal Cochran, his face basked in shadow, standing over the very metaphorical skull. He educates both an incarcerated Daniel Challis and the audience on the true nature of Halloween and it stands as one of the most evil, insidious monologues ever committed to screen. It certainly became the moment that transcended Halloween III: Season Of The Witch to cult level. (Well, this and the rather nasty ending when all the kids die!).
