12 Best Entrances In Comic Book Movies

12. Enter The Man-Spider! €“ Spider-Man (2002)

Professional wrestling is arguably the source of our appreciation for extravagant entrances in modern pop culture. The sprinting frenzy of the Ultimate Warrior, the haunting morbidity of The Undertaker, and the heroism of the Real American, Hulk Hogan, were all, in their own way, the earliest live-action superheroes (aside from Superman and Batman). In accordance with his canon, Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) was able to pay tribute to this in his first public outing in his debut film. His costume was crude, but Peter Parker was first announced as Spider-Man in a match against the fearsome Bone Saw (€œMacho Man€ Randy Savage). He entered the ring hoping only to survive three minutes against Bone Saw to earn money for a car, but got more than he bargained for when the battle turned into a cage match. The highlight of this scene, and why it made the list, is the almost instant transformation that Peter makes from his insecure, nerdy self to the confident, trash-talking Spider-Man. One leap to dodge Bonesaw€™s first offensive attack and the Webhead we know and love appears. The fancy costume that shows up later, while cool, is merely a bonus.
