As much of a bummer as that statement is, /u/cacophonousdrunkard is bang on the money. We're all going to be a heck of a lot older by the time Episode IX drops in 2019, and beyond that this Star Wars franchise could have absolutely no end. There is not only a whole universe of characters and settings to play with, but all of time itself. Prequels, sequels, spinoffs, TV shows, it's all up for grabs. As long as Disney want to keep churning out movies and as long as the box office takings stay nice and healthy, you can expect this franchise go for a long, long time. Here's hoping we're all still alive to see it all play out (and retain quality... but we can't have everything).
