2. Black Manta Looks Like He Does In The Comics

Even though Aquaman villain Black Manta looks... somewhat out of left-field, to say the least, it seems James Wan's movie is going to stick close to the comics as inspiration for the character. The villain - who will be played by The Get Down's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II - will be a big part of the film, and it's nice to have early confirmation that Wan will be drawing from the panels.

Likewise, the same seems to be true for Patrick Wilson's Ocean Master, who will be Jason Momoa's half-brother in the film. Not that they look alike...

And even more impressively, it turns out the film's action sequences are going to draw from Lord Of The Rings, with "lots of creatures". I don't seem to remember any fish being ridden into battle in Peter Jackson's epic trilogy, but there was a lot going on and I might have missed it...

Seriously though, that's a great suggestion, and it's going to be incredible to see how Wan pulls off such grand-scale battle sequences under water.
