12 Biggest Guilty Pleasure Movies Of 2016
3. Mechanic: Resurrection
Though 2011's The Mechanic was a surprisingly decent remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson-starring romp, there were few in the market for a sequel, but you know what? They made it anyway.
Jason Statham is at least one of our more reliable action heroes, and though he has a ton of generic action flicks to his name, few of them are outright duds.
Mechanic: Resurrection is definitely among his lesser films, but it's still given a solid boost by a sexy Jessica Alba, and Tommy Lee Jones showing up late in the day decked out in a hilarious attire and goatee that surely suggests they paid him a dumptruck full of money to embarrass himself so thoroughly.
It ultimately doesn't amount to much more than "The Stath saves Jessica Alba because she's hot", but the gorgeous locations, brutal action and hilariously bad CGI make it an entetaining diversion all the same.
