Why He Should Die: Well, on a pure logistics level, the fact that Charlie Hunnam isn't reprising his protagonist role from the first movie is reason enough to condemn him to death, because why else wouldn't the original franchise hero show up when all hell breaks loose once again?

Plus, in a recent interview new star John Boyega claimed that Becket died at the end of the first movie, either suggesting that Becket's fate has been retconned, or perhaps more likely, he hasn't even seen the original.

How He'll Die: He'll probably die off-screen in mysterious, ambiguous circumstances that are never fully explained, just in case Hunnam ever wants to return for another sequel and they can claim that he was missing, presumed dead or some such nonsense.

Don't expect Uprising to devote much time at all to Becket's fate, but not mentioning him at all would be a huge mistake.
