12 Comic Book Movie Mistakes You Can't Unsee

8. Batman's Vanishing Make Up - Batman

It's understandable that even Bruce Wayne would sometimes forget to apply his make up. After all, it's not easy to balance being a billionaire layabout and an illegal vigilante at the best of times.

But it's unlikely that this characterisation was what Edward Scissorhands director Tim Burton had in mind during the moments in his 1989 Batman, one of the first major comic book blockbusters, where the title character's eyeshadow is missing.

Instead, it's fair to say this oversight (get it?) was caused by the production forgetting to finish Michael Keaton's look, resulting in a pretty paper thin disguise for a man who really can't afford to get caught out.
