12 Controversial Movies That Never Got Released

2. Never The Twain

The Premise: A regular guy, Richard Webb, is suddenly possessed by the ghost of Mark Twain out of nowhere, and the two of them attend the 1974 Miss Nude World pageant together. Madness ensues. Why It Never Got Released: Little more than that is known about the movie, with the only significant information stemming from a 2012 IO9 article. It's safe to say that director and reputed nudist Brad Grinter was no doubt using the movie to push his lifestyle agenda, and with a premise this nutty, it's sure to amuse as many as it offends. Not that there's any record of anyone actually having seen it, mind, though a small yet dedicated collective of online enthusiasts remain out on the hunt for a negative rotting in someone's shed somewhere.
